COCA Project 2024.25



Welcome to the terms and conditions of the open call COCA 4th edition 2024.25.

This document sets forth the Terms and Conditions (Terms) governing the use of the COCA PROJECT web pages (cocaproject.art COCA 4th edition 2024.25). These Terms apply between you (you or Participant) and COCA PROJECT (COCA PROJECT or We), the company with registered office in Italy, company number IT03908051208, which owns and operates the cocaproject.art website, all related websites and services, and trademarks.

By checking the Terms and Conditions box, clicking the SEND button in the application process, and completing the payment of the publication fee, you are participating in COCA 4th EDITION and acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before applying to participate in COCA 4th edition 2024.25.


The COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call starts on May 20, 2024 at 00:01 AM ITALY time (GMT) and ends on SEPTEMBER 21, 2024 at 11:59 PM (GMT). Participants can apply by clicking on the Apply Now button available at cocaproject.art website and following the guided submission process.

The COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call is open to all artists of all nationalities. Participants must be at least 18 years old on the date of registration. Collaborative projects are accepted. Each participant may submit one or more "projects." Each project must contain a minimum of one work and a maximum of two, which will be considered by COCA PROJECT. Photos of works must be uploaded in Jpg or Jpeg format and each single image cannot weigh more than 4 Megabytes.

To complete the submission of a project, the participant must pay an application fee for the online publication and service of € 67.00 for each project submitted within the submission deadline, unless otherwise indicated on the open call landing page. The application fee is stated in EUR.

Results of the selection will be announced on cocaproject.art within 90 days of the due date or extension date. By accepting these Terms, you agree that COCA PROJECT's decisions are final on all matters related to COCA 4th edition 2024.25. Projects in this edition and other activities are invalid in international countries where they are prohibited.


The COCA PROJECT will select some artists from the finalists to realize the projects through co-financing between the cocaproject and/or partners and/or collectors and/or artists. Each project selected from the finalists will undergo further viewing by private/public entities to verify the implementation feasibility.

The following activities are expected:

  • Artist production for project implementation (budget at artist's request) 2025.
  • Expo "TWO WILD SEAS MEDITERRANEAN EXHIBITION" in Taranto, Italy, 2025/2026.
  • COCA SUMMER, art residencies in Taranto, Italy, 2025/2026.
  • Free review of portfolios of artists selected from the finalists.
  • 6 honorable mentions for artists.
  • Publication of the finalist artists on cocaproject.art.

Each artist can present works on any support / material, even already published works, the artist must be alive. To the finalist artists, who want to realize the artistic residency and the exhibition, will be requested additional information material and available works. The works have no size or duration limits.

By checking the Terms and Conditions box, clicking the Pay and Submit button in the last step of the project submission process, and completing payment of the application fee, the applicant is participating in the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call and acknowledges and agrees to the Terms and Conditions.

In doing so, you also acknowledge that the entry fee is non-refundable. You also agree to authorize COCA PROJECT to permanently display your project on the results page should it be shortlisted. In addition, you acknowledge that you may not delete or edit photos of your submitted project from the COCAPROJECT website or alter their order, unless permitted by the system, and unless you send us a written request to disqualify your project from the open call.

By agreeing to these Terms and participating in the COCA 4th edition open call 2024.25, you warrant that all information submitted is true, current, and complete. You further warrant that you have all necessary consents in connection with your participation and that you are the owner of the copyrights in any work submitted, e.g., photographs, text, drawings, and that COCA PROJECT's use of such works will be free of charge, will not infringe on the rights of any third party, and will fully indemnify Coca Project in the event of infringement.

You further acknowledge that the full names of the winners may be published by Coca Project and grant Coca Project a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free worldwide license to use and publish your entries, in whole or in part, in any media form, for the sole purpose of current and future promotion of Coca Project-sponsored editions.

Should the entries contain material or elements that are not the property of the entrant and/or are subject to third party rights, and/or if persons appear in the images/videos, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the entries, all releases and consents necessary to allow the publication, exhibition and use of the images/videos in the manner set forth in these Terms without additional compensation. If a person appearing in a work has not reached the age of consent in his/her state/province/territory of residence, the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required on each release.


CocaProject agrees to implement the pledges stated in item #2 of these Terms and Conditions within the stipulated time after the announcement of the selection results, provided that the prize recipient communicates via e-mail to Coca Project (i) valid and complete bank details and (ii) a copy of a valid ID within 30 days of the final announcement.

Coca Project will notify each recipient of the results to the e-mail address associated with the application submission within 90 days of the closing date of the competition. The benefit recipient will have 15 days from the day of notification to respond to Coca Project and proceed with the planned activities. If Coca Project is unable to notify the winner, or if the winner does not respond within the stipulated time period, this may result in the loss of the commitments stated in #2 and Coca Project reserves the right to select an alternate artist in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Coca Project may, in its sole discretion, refuse to provide a facility or seek recovery of a facility in the event of non-ownership under these Terms or a Participant's violation of these terms and conditions, the terms of use of the Coca Project website, fraud, dishonesty, or other inappropriate or improper conduct, including, but not limited to, the use of technology that enables a Participant to evade charges or participation requirements.

Coca Project agrees to always cite copyright. When you submit images to the Coca Project website, you retain the copyright ownership of the images/videos submitted to the Coca Project website and Coca Project will not claim ownership of the images/videos. By checking the Terms and Conditions box, clicking on the Submit button in the project submission process step, and completing the payment of the fee for pre-selected artists, you submit your project to the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call and represent and warrant the following:

(a) You can legally enter into contracts under applicable law and are aged at least 18 (b) you have obtained and possess copies of releases from all individuals portrayed in the photographs/videos you submit to the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call, and those individuals have voluntarily consented to the publication and/or dissemination of their images for all legal purposes.

Neither the Coca Project nor its associates, affiliates, or partners may be considered responsible for photos or videos submitted in violation of these Terms. Images that demonstrate violations of copyright and/or participation policies will be removed and disqualified by the Coca Project after due investigation.

If for any reason the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call is unable to function as intended due to bugs, worms, Trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the control of Coca Project that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call, Coca Project reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call. CocaProject cannot guarantee that the services related to the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call will be free of errors or omissions or that they will be available without interruption and in fully operational condition. Such services may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the event of system failure, maintenance or repair or for causes reasonably beyond CocaProject's control. CocaProject shall not be liable in the event that all or any part of the service relating to the COCA 4th edition 2024.25 open call is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.
