COCA 2020

Art. 1 - PURPOSE

“COCA | CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS” announces the 2nd international edition of the contest for the realization of artistic production. “COCA 2020” is aimed at the promotion and enhancement of contemporary art.

In the first edition, COCA18, 91 nations took part with great success with a total of 1523 international artists' submissions.

ART. 2 - ARTIST PROFILE

“COCA 2020” is open to all adult artists of any nationality, who are project partners or new project members of the COCA | CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS association.

 

ART. 3 - ARTISTIC CATEGORIES

Each artist can submit for the first selection a maximum of 3 works representative of the artist's production (the works submitted may not be unpublished). The works have no size or duration limits.

Here are the artistic styles allowed:


      • Ceramic
      • Digital Art
      • Documentaries
      • Installation Art
      • Photography
      • Land Art 

      • Multi-Task Art
      • Painting
      • Performance
      • Sculpture
      • Street Art
      • Video Art

 

ART. 4 - ADVISORS: THE JURY

The selection of candidates will be carried out by an international jury selected by COCA | CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS.

The Advisors will have professional profiles connected to the world of art and economics to analyze and evaluate both the creative aspect and the related budgets of the submitted projects".

 

ART. 5 – RECOGNITIONS AND AWARDS

The international jury will award recognition to all COCA | CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS members: 

WINNER:

The realization of artistic production of the maximum value of 8,000 euros.The sum requested will be paid for services such as accommodation, food, travel, various materials, technology and software, equipment rental, space rental, human resources useful for the realization of artistic production.

FINALISTS:

The profiles of the finalists will be viewed by collectors, gallery owners, curators of independent spaces and museums, according to their artistic career and selected by The House of Collectors for a private group exhibition.Moreover, they will be able to enjoy the maximum promotion on cocaproject.art and will become part of the COCA database.

SELECTED ARTISTS:

ALL selected artists will be published online with their personal portfolio on cocaproject.art.”

 

ART. 6 - OPEN CALL MODE

FREE PRE-REGISTRATION

Artists can submit their project free of charge by February 21st, 2020 or, when the number of 121 finalist artists will be reached, exclusively by completing the online form (link) available on the website cocaproject.art. 

SELECTION MODE

The selection by the Advisors will take place in 3 phases, and the results will be progressively updated online on the website www.cocaproject.art in real-time:

      • 1st SELECTION
      •  2nd SELECTION
      • 121 FINALIST ARTISTS

The Advisors, in case of need for modifications or clarifications regarding the submitted projects, will be able to contact the artists through e-mail or video calls. The decisions of the Advisors are final and unquestionable." 

REGISTRATION OF SELECTED ARTISTS

Only the artists indicated by the Advisors will be able to complete the subscription for the COCA20 by paying the annual membership fee via PayPal service. The 47 euro fee includes membership of the COCA association and partial coverage of the organization costs. Artists must keep a copy of the payment. The registration fee is never refundable.

CALENDAR

The Advisors will judge the selections in real-time. The COCA20 schedules are as follows:

      • Application deadline: February 21st, 2020
      • Publication of the artists of the 1st selection and selected artists: in real-time. 
      • Finalist artists will be published by March 21st 2020.
      • Winner presentation: April 21st, 2020."

 

ART.7 - VISIBILITY OF ARTISTIC PROFILES

The selected artistic profiles and the finalists will be visible on the website www.cocaproject.art with a temporary personal portfolio. Here are some examples of creative collections of artists participating in the first edition of COCA18: www.cocaproject.art/selection-coca18

 

ART. 8 - CONSENT - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Participation in the open call implies the knowledge and total acceptance of the General Terms of Use and the European Regulation information (GDPR 2016/679) and of this Regulation and the COCA | CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS Statute.

 

ART. 9 - ORGANIZER 

The "COCA | CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS" association is the "COCA20" Organizer.
