DESCRIPTION

 

Eramboo Artist Environment is a contemporary creative art space on the edge of a World Heritage National Park, where artists grow connections between art, nature and the community. Eramboo’s is located in a bushland setting that borders with Kur-ring-gai National Park on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It operates 7 creative studios, a live-in residency program for International, Interstate and Regional artists, gallery space and exhibition program, a Masterclass Program, art classes and creative events.
Eramboo arts programs include visual artists working in all media, writers, musician, public art and performance. Eramboo is a not for profit arts organisation, a registered charity and in a cultural partnership with Northern Beaches Council. It is operated by a volunteer Directors board and is funded by studio hire fees, fees from classes &workshops, grants, donations and sponsorship.

Eramboo Artist Residency offers an inspirational bushland setting for developing a body of work or a site responsive project or to simply to grow creatively. Ideal for contemporary artists and artist couples looking to expand their practice and career through a residency. Suitable for artists working in all media, writers, musicians, dance or performance artists. The live-in residency space is available for one week or three months.
Eramboo Studios offer artists an eco-friendly natural environment on 3 acres, that borders with Kur-ring-gai National Park on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, a gallery space to prepare and display works in progress, teaching space for hire to run classes and workshops, arts programs such as the Masterclass series, talks and professional development opportunities and support.
Studio includes simple but comfortable accommodation, wifi, kitchenette, access to outdoor space, deck, toilet, shower, washing machine, clothes cupboard, parking space, 24/7 access and additional working space if required.

 

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

 

Outcome

Participation in the Eramboo Arts Program for residencies of one month or more. Artists can choose what suits them best e.g: present a talk, masterclass (artist receives payment), present an exhibition, a community project or public artwork.

Accommodation Information

One live-in studio is available for the Eramboo Artist Residency located in a peaceful bushland setting on the edge of Ku-ring-gai National Park. Studio includes simple but comfortable accommodation (15 square metres), wifi, kitchenette, access to outdoor space, bushland, deck, toilet, shower, washing machine, clothes cupboard, parking space, 24/7 access, additional working space by arrangement, access to larger kitchen in main building.

Technical Information

Basic drawing boards, materials, paints, kiln, older style pottery wheels, data projector.

Location

Eramboo is located on the edge of Kuringgai National Park, 45 mins from Sydney CBD, close to the Terry Hills shopping village and cafes. Access to a car is recommended, public transport via Terry Hills (1.9km away), 5 minutes drive to Church Point, 15 minutes drive to Northern Beaches.
