The Action of Flowers 2020
The flowers bloomed and the flowers fall down. A gust of wind blew over a lot of flowers. Although I felt it was very beautiful, but a little bit pity. I closed my eyes that imaged the flowers blossomed in front of me. Flowers was throwing a parabola by his own action which began to fall through a layer of glass, and the picture gradually changes from a wide sky to a dense flowers cluster. In this work, there are five consecutive actions, five times is similar, but different rhythms, this work is divided into two parts, one is the angle seen by the viewer, and the other is the behavior pattern of the author behind the image. What is the operation the flower fell in front of the person behind the visual ” action of flowers”? It’s hiding hidden thoughts inside.

This work is based on the individual’s physical behavior in the video. It seems that the piece of meat in your heart moves out slowly, and things seem have changed. When people see the video, they will observe the dynamics of each piece of cloth and go to an unknown place. It is difficult to put any theory in the film language of the video, so I think it is worth the opportunity to give more people watching.

YUCHI HSIAO
Taiwan
Born in Kaoshiung in 1986, graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts department of New Media, participated in and was accepted to Academy of Fine Arts in Prague as an exchange program, and was awarded with Salzburg Summer Art Academy scholarship. Yuchi Hsiao’s videography work has shown internationally in France, Bulgaria, and Macaw. My works revolves around the relationship between oneself and the surrounding. From testing behavioral interactions between society and individuals, focusing on the unusual events in daily life. If we assume every day as a flat plane, my works are like small organisms on it. Her recent works combine her personal experiences, environment and residential observations of various locations in the North and South.
