HAVE YOU EVER DUG UNDERNEATH THAT SURFACE CALLED SKIN TO DISCOVER YOUR TRUE NATURE? THE GENERATION IN WHICH WE LIVE IS INCREASINGLY STUCK IN A SORT OF COMPULSIVE CONSUMERISM; ESPECIALLY UNDER THE AESTHETIC PROFILE, THERE IS A RUN-UP TO BE SOMEONE ELSE OR SOMETHING ELSE.
ACCORDING TO ME, IT IS URGENT THE EXIGENCE TO REMOVE THE MASK THAT EVERYONE WEARS IN ORDER TO REALIZE THAT, BEHIND THAT SUPERFICIAL LAYER, THERE IS A WONDERFUL UNIVERSE CALLED “BEING”. AND “BEING” IS A PRECIOUS COMMODITY, LIKE GOLD. IT IS THE ONLY WEAPON THAT CAN PROTECT US, THE ONLY PEN ABLE TO WRITE OUR HISTORY AND SAFE GUARD OUR UNIQUENESS.
 HUMANITÄ – THIS IS NOT A SELFIE” BECOMES THE SPOKESPERSON OF A PROFOUND REFLECTION ON BEING AND HAVING, ON THE MAGNIFICENT AND THE ORDINARY, ON THE REAL AND THE IMAGINARY, ON THE COHERENCE AND THE CONTRADICTIONS THAT HAVE CHARACTERIZED OUR HUMANITY DURING THE CENTURIES.

A LARGE CENTRAL INSTALLATION “COLONNA” IN WHICH A PILE OF POTS AND PANS GO TO CREATE A HINGE, THE BACKBONE OF THE PLACE THAT PUSHES UPWARD TO SEEK A CONNECTION WITH THE SKY TO BE THE NUTRITION OF DREAMS.

THERE’S A WORLD—THE ONE THEY’VE ALWAYS TOLD US TO LOOK AT–MADE OF EYES THAT LOOK JUST THE VISIBLE. A WORLD OFTEN SHINING, CHAOTIC SOME TIMES AND EXUBERANT, IN WHICH CONFLICTS ARE ALWAYS FAR FROM US, ALMOST IMPERCEPTIBLE (SOMETIMES NAUSEATING AND REDUNDANT).
IT IS THE SKY ABOVE OUR HEADS, EVERYTHING WE SEE LOOKING UP, IMAGINING THE UNBRIDLED GLITTER OF THE UNKNOWN.
THEN THERE’S THE WORLD WE DON’T SEE. RIGHT BELOW US. OR MAYBE ABOVE (IT DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH THEY WEIGH THE DISLIKED IDEAS). THAT’S WHERE THE THINGS WE WANT TO HIDE ARE. IT IS RIGHT THERE, TRAMPLED BY OUR FEET, THAT THERE ARE WARS (ESPECIALLY INTERIORS) THAT WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE, THE PROBLEMS THAT WE CONTINUE TO IGNORE, THE SOLUTIONS WE HAVE NEVER SOUGHT.

OBVIOUSLY, IN A FIRST VISION, WHAT EMERGES FROM THAT IS A TOTALLY TRANSFIGURED REALITY. I DEEPLY BELIEVE THAT IT IS NOT SO ALTERED. OFTEN I LIMIT MYSELF TO GRASPING A GESTURE I HAD SEEN ON THE STREET OR A REFLECTION ON THE EVERYDAY LIFE FACTS.
