Viktoria Kurnicki is a German-Polish artist currently living in Milan. She was born in 1993 in Bochum from a family of Polish immigrants. In 2020 Kurnicki graduated from the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and later that year she went on to study Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at NABA in Milan. She exhibited at Neuland, Bochum (Man selbst ist immer da, 2013); CYNETART Festival at Festspielhaus Hellerau, Dresden (MONITOR, 2017); Künstlerforum, Bonn (Kunsthoch46, 2018); Hanse3, Dresden (außerdem, 2018); ALTANA-Gallerie, Dresden and A&O Kunsthalle, Leipzig (Mein Sehen bleibt physisch folgenlos, 2019) and Alte Feuerwache Loschwitz, Dresden (Konkret, 2019 and MULTIPLE CHOICE, 2020).
Her practice mostly touches upon interpersonal relations, the human in the context of its social environment. Due to the irritations that are caused by everyday life observations, an attempt is made to deconstruct and to reassemble them into a tangible image.
