HKG I | 2018

The benefit of things lies in the usefulness of nothing.

I startet with my series “beauty lies in emptiness” in 2009. It was my first visit to Japan. I felt in love with the simple but mind blowing architecture which you find all over East Asia. These geometric lines and simple architecture touched me and it was that thing I was looking for.

My approach for this images is “simple and silent” but in all this emptiness there is an element that literally pulls you in.
