My name is Siham Feysel. I was born and raised in Harar, Ethiopia.
I am a full time architect based here in Addis. I devote most of my spare time to the thing I love to do- arts.
After completing my study at Addis Ababa University, EAiBC, I had enough time to experiment and look into arts using different media and I was drawn to the none traditional technique of using paper strips to create unique forms. What makes my arts different is the use of card papers and shape them into various forms to get detailed and abstract art. As far as my knowledge goes, this art is less known in Ethiopia as I myself came across this technique or style of art on an article written by a Russian artist. It was love at first sight!
I was drawn to it instantly; I liked the level of detail as well as the 3d extruded nature of it. I then started to experiment and develop my skill over time to where I am at now. I still learn new techniques every single day and that’s what’s exciting about it. I e displaye
