You Were Never Meant to Leave 2019
In the past year, I have had three family members pass away. For the sake of my own sanity, I must believe that life never really ends. It simply morphs into that which is unknown. In the face of death, life is confusing, frustrating, grief stricken, and disorienting. I must come to terms with the fact that there is no going back to normal. Life is different now and so am I, forever altered by the pain and darkness that comes with loss. This images is one of a series I shot in order to grieve and cope in a healthy way.

Euphoria 2019
This photograph is from a series I shot this past summer inspired by the hit HBO show “Euphoria”. Through color, styling and motion blur, I attempted to capture the overall aesthetic of the show while still maintaining my own style.

Mother Daughter 2018
This image is from a series in which I explore the special bond formed between a mother and her daughter. Being an only child who grew up in a single-parent household, my mom is by far my best friend and the person I am closest to. As a young girl I was extremely dependent on her. I don’t think I gained any true independence from her until I left for college. This newfound confidence has been an expedition in self-exploration and discovery of my own femininity. I am learning everyday what it means to be a woman, no longer a girl. In this series I explore feelings such as peace, childlikeness, confusion, melancholy, and the discovery of sexuality. This particular image is a visual metaphor for unlocking my own true personality and having the courage to break away from my mother in order to discover who I am and who I want to be.

I am a senior, fine art photography student at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. My work is mostly either editorially focused or personally driven projects. I strive for minimalism and simplicity. The reason I am drawn to these qualities of design is from my desire to create peace from an often overwhelmingly chaotic world. All of my images are shot on film. My preference for film comes from my admiration for the process of photography. For me, film represents more of a permanence in my work and requires me to be extremely thoughtful and methodical when creating images. Developing my own film and creating prints also gives me a much more tangible connection to my work. In June of this year, I will graduate with a BFA in Fine Art Photography. I am currently searching for jobs in New York, Los Angeles and Europe. I would also eventually like to attend graduate school in Europe.
