My overwhelmed pose 2019

The titled “My overwhelmed pose” is one of them. In this painting, I try to express mankind with his duties. Sometimes it may be the toughest struggle, toughest morality. And I adopt it is the most important phase of life, which will be reflected as reality. That’s why I’m trying to expose a transparent reflection of truth.

No more promise 2019

Another painting titled “No more promise” is the as same thing as I expressed before. Here is what I’m trying involved in the psychological aspect of mankind. There are a million reflections of the mind. And it’s really so impressive, sometimes tragic.

SATYABRATA ADHIKARI

India

I’m currently living and working in Kolkata, India. Completed my bachelor’s degree in Painting from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Basically I would like to observe the human mind in my work. According to Sir Sigmund Freud, every moment of human-controlled by the mind. In my work, I try to capture what is arising in my mind: thoughts, memories, dreams, beauty and ugliness, high and low motivations, dirty politics and wonderful tales and dreams. These are stories that sometimes slowly or sometimes fast unfold on my canvases. To understand what I mean, a passing glance is usually not enough. You may like it or not – my peculiar art world, which makes familiar strange, makes the past the future, and makes the viewer witness love, dreams, childhood fantasies as well as subconscious phobias. I try to express mankind with his duties. Sometimes it may be the toughest struggle, toughest morality. And I adopt it is the most important phase of life, which will be reflected as reality.
