Skin 04 2020
Skin or deviant matter: our identity from the environment and from our memory traps us in a cycle of actions and states of being that are repeated endlessly:
– Overlapping layers
– Folded plate that covers the underlying layers
Raw ceramic layered with acrilic pigment
Skin on Wood 01 2021
Layers of ceramic deposited on river wood.
The fragments are welded together creating a new entity made of diversity that coexist.
The wood welcomes the ceramic layers and silently embraces their history, shape, movements and sequences, becoming one whole.
Raw layered ceramic, polished wood of the Tevere river, acrylic pigment

My name is Sara and I live in Perugia. I have been working for 20 years as a graphic and web designer with several design studios where I had the opportunity to learn and experiment various visual solutions and artistic expressions.
My research focuses on my origins, the places of my childhood and the nature that surrounds them. Nature regenerates me, the wild part attracts me but at the same time I feel a sense of loss.
In my works I try to create the connection between the nature, my being and my roots
