Alchemy of Repair – Tools 1-6 2024
First experimentation of the ongoing research "Alchemy of Repair". 4000 years of olive tree tools, made with an oil-based material embodying the olive's four core functions: nourishes, heats, washes and heals.
Methodology: Like fermentation, where vessel, hand, and ingredient blur into a single process, these tools dissolve the line between object and action, maker and matter—each sustained by the other.
A fence to Stop Time 2018
A collective work of spaziofuoritempo.
Old rituals are still ringing in the primitive, volcanic land of Lanzarote. In ancient times, the indigenous manifested their sacred virtue by using the archetypes of the efquene and tagoror, ritual fences, placed around an idol as thresholds to access a magical and defended habitat.
In «A Fence To Stop Time» space takes shape as a distant habitat, crossable by twelve trilithium, arranged with soft curtains. The wind that gives life and dynamism to the enclosure consumes and dissolves its idol. The fence is built by tracing a circle and divided into four parts, and each of them is in three sections (4×3, pic c.). Twelve symbolizes the recomposition of the primordial wholeness. In other terms, it represents the descent to earth of a cosmic model of thoroughness and harmony.

Rosita Palladino
Italy
Rosita Palladino is an Italian architect, researcher and educator with a Master of Architecture from Politecnico di Milano and professional experience in Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Currently an Adjunct Faculty at Syracuse Architecture, she teaches design studios and seminars. Palladino recently graduated with distinction from the Master’s in Design Studies (Ecologies) at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (GSD), where she was awarded the prestigious Ermenegildo Zegna Fellowship and served as a Teaching Fellow in History of Art + Architecture. Her multidisciplinary work spans social sciences, art history, ecology, and landscape, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean region. Palladino’s achievements include the Dimitris Pikionis Award and the Design Studies Domain Award, recognizing her for the highest academic record, her research agenda, and the significant contribution to the design community.
