End of energy 2019
My work is the about the ease of interaction between people through invisible connections as a result of neo-technology. As an artist I perceive this transition from physical human communication to battery powered devices, as a conscious form of severing links. Additionally, these severed liaisons have brought me to question our position with regards to nature and to address the effects of our actions on our surroundings. Consequently my work is to make the "invisible, visible." I blend some important symbols of power transmission in my work. wires, switches, exist in the same space with human arms and legs. Organs initially and basically associated with applying pressure and steering mechanical devices. In my work arms and legs, are placed. More like part of a machine. On the other hand, electricity wires – in multiple colors and formations – remind one of human veins, particularly blood vessels. I leave it to the viewer to interpret these connections.
