Vibrations#1 2019
This 6×6 ft painting was created using acrylic paints and color pencils on unstretched canvas.
I worked on this painting by laying the canvas flat on the floor and sitting on top of it during the entire course of it’s creation – beginning with drawing elaborate lines on the canvas, slowly, one line at a time, thus, becoming a part of not only the process, but also of the whole picture. Every now and then the pattern on the canvas seemed to crawl all over me, each time merging us together to create a single entity.
After I drew the lines (resembling vibratory patterns), I applied thin layers (2-3) of acrylic paints giving rise to an illusion of depth and shallowness.
The work aimed to create the multilayered levels of reality we humans live in, although we all essentially resonate at the same frequency in the core.
