Bricks Turned Into Clay, A Vase Turned Into Mud Flow 2018
This is an installation composed of a large vase made of clay, unfired, set in a clay pitch where raw material is stored. Adjacent to it are bricks from demolitions stored to be recycled also as raw material for clay mixture. This work was made in Ziaromat brick factory in Slovakia where I face the phenomenon of cyclical time and ever changing stages of things. I decided to be part of it and engaged through the process of making vessel. The vase is made of ready-made parts from the production line of the factory. I chose not to fire the vase and set it exposed to be weathered down, turn into the mud flow.
