But Let Me Tell You How This Business Began 2019
‘But Let Me Tell You How This Business Began’ is a design-based series of works on flags, a common theme in my work. Each flag represents iconography from different products designed and used in the prison industrial complex in the U.S. This particual work shows uniforms typically worn by people incarcerated.
Along with the flags is a small transmitter that transmits a sounds installation. The sound is a ‘song’ in collaboration with Eren Canata, a notable producer and musician who has worked with museums in the US as well as produced for world renowned musicians as well as winning an Emmy for his work on a musical show. The transmitter can be installed anywhere(visable or hidden) in the space.

The radio is clear to prevent contraband from being hidden inside the radios body.
