Nour Ali

Lebanon

Nour graduated with an MA in Ceramics from Cardiff school of Art and Design in 2011 and has since set up her Ceramic studio in Beirut, Lebanon, where she teaches ceramics at The Lebanese American University in Beirut.
She has attended workshops in many countries including, Turkey, Greece, The UK, China, and Oman. And she has exhibited her work in the UK, USA, France, Turkey and Lebanon.
Working primarily with clay, her work revolves mainly around the understanding of clay as a material and experimenting with it. Exploring and highlighting its strength and weakness through different making processes and non-traditional techniques.
She has also been experimenting with merging clay with different materials, glass being a main focus, using different techniques such as kiln casting and glass blowing.
