Embrace of the Serpent 2019

This painting is inspired on my personal experience drinking a plant medicine called Ayahuasca a few years back. As I was wrestled to the grassy ground by this magical tea that seemed like a serpent constricting my whole body, I was amazed how my mind felt free to wander different planes. As I learned to let go of my fears sudden flashes of geometry and unknown beings surrounded me in a warm embrace. I still don’t know what to make of it but I told myself that I would at least try to paint an image of what I felt during that long unforgettable moonlit night.

Non Plus Ultra 2019

This work is inspired by the inscription at the base of the Pillars of Hercules in the straits of Gibraltar. “Non Plus Ultra” or to literally go no more beyond this point, serves as a warning for ships to sail no further.

Camp Fire Flight 2019

This particular picture is based on a night around the fire with a few friends where I told the incredible story of the mythical mount that could travel vast distances in a single bound.
