Deepening Dependency 2019

Deepening Dependency has been described by the artist as 'a two-part, one color sculpture that originally was much more complicated. Rectangular planes and a mould representing humans, plus a coat of deep, resonant red (maroon) representing the societal space make the whole setup. Since man is a social animal, Society has become an essential condition, more so a fundamental defect for human life to arise and to continue. The intended series of photographs hints at a perspective space with its plans to some extent to evoke the pressure & urge of conformity.

Mbinga Jonathan ,Born 1994,is an artist based in Kenya,whose works revolve around memories re living themselves so as to be understood better as entities constituting to life. Following an observation of the relation between an individual and society which is very close, Humans have lost the sense of individual exploration and wonder, settling for 'popular' cultural appropriated acts with which carry a sense of 'security' of many thus creation of a reality by social consensus.
