Reborn, 2021, paint, paper on canvas, 126 x 82 x 7 cm.
I use newspapers as a memory of the past. On sheets of paper, stories of people, COVID, politics, advertising, and the names of the deceased. This is a memory of special events that no longer happen. This is a new reinterpretation and understanding of them. This is material that has been reborn into something new and acquires a new meaning.
