What started as a desire to express feelings to a lover but thinking it was too soon, too intense, I found the journey of creating images of what I understood as love and erotic. Then came the need to speak about the hypocrisy that reigns in my country when it comes to sex, we listen all day long to music that talks about getting it on but still to this day if a woman appears to have some form of agency, she is then a whore. Now I’m looking to find the line between the pornographic, and the erotic through the use of “soft materials” such as pencils and paper. I find myself with this work, looking to push my own boundaries of what the work in itself can be. This drawing is part of a series titled "Liquid Love", drawing from Zygmunt Bauman's studies on sex, love and eroticism.
