“Swamp Rising”

As the waters rise… Who will be left?
Who will be cared for?
As the waters rise…
Seeping through the grass
up to our toes….
As the waters rise…
Searching for higher ground.
As the waters rise…

As the water rises,
Who will be left?
Who will be cared for?
As the water rises,
Seeping through the grass,
Up to my toes
Dreaming of higher ground
