The idea of building this collection (“Jale” with narrow valve) began with observing cereal crops in old buildings. Seeing and touching these crumbs up close was a much different experience than seeing their photos. And the way in which the works that take place alongside economic and political issues take a deeper look at the whole flow. A man who has limited storage capacity but forgets this despite knowing the truth. Its existence resembles a valve that refuses acceptance and overflows. The series is trying to portray a lack of understanding of this capacity, and the presence of straw indicates the absurdity of this behavior …

Lena Yekta is an Iranian architect who has been working as a visual artist since 2011. She is professional in Ceramic art, Print making, Environmental art, Architecture and Sculpture, as well as proficiency in a variety of art / design software applications.
She is interested in spaces and creates site-specific projects.
Because of her close connection to nature and the responsibility she feels towards the planet, several of her installations address environmental concerns. As a result, she has begun to pay more and more attention to the materials she use, often employing the elements around her as source material.
