Balancing Act 2022

This piece explores how acknowledging the fragility of life can paradoxically lead to a greater appreciation for each moment. How the knowledge of mortality can help us become more mindful of our experiences, savour the present, and cherish our relationships more deeply.

It is so easy to forget the importance of this in the busyness of day-to-day life.

New Beginnings 2022

Embodying 'New Beginnings,' this sculpture captures the essence of growth in motion. Its undefined, unstructured form hints at the dynamism of change and the fluid process of growth.

The gloss glaze is a visual representation of joy, reflecting the bright and hopeful 'shining' sensation of a fresh start.

I am a ceramicist working out of Sydney, Australia. My story with ceramics began during COVID 2020. To fill the new found spare time, I embarked on a self-taught journey of ceramics. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the therapeutic and restorative process of creating both functional and ornamental objects out of clay. Rooted deeply in intuition, my artistic practice embraces simplicity, genuine connection, and a spirit of playfulness. These core values actively shape the evolution of each piece, influencing material and colour choices, as well as compositional decisions. Intuitive guidance acts as an internal compass, leading my initial explorations free from rigid preconceptions, fostering a love for the art of letting go and creating without inhibition. This interplay between conscious intention and intuitive flow cultivates a dynamic and evolving practice, where each imperfect yet unique piece tangibly manifests these fundamental values and diverse inspirations.
