Khaled Sirag is an Egyptian ceramist based in Cairo, born in 1969. His work is deeply influenced by nature, history, mythology, and humanity. Dividing his time between his academic role as a professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, and his studio practice, Sirag is known for his curiosity about materiality. He creates a range of objects and installations, mainly using clay alongside mixed media. His work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions both locally and internationally, earning him acclaim at symposiums, workshops, and masterclasses in Egypt, Hungary, Serbia, France, Turkey, South Korea, Tunisia, Slovenia, Argentina, and more. Sirag has served on jury committees for art competitions, curated international exhibitions, and organized shows featuring his students' work at Helwan University. His broad engagement with the global art community reflects a unique blend of tradition, innovation, and cross-cultural exchange in his ceramics.
