Liberty 2019
“Liberty”, this is part of an on working series that recreates iconical paintings that historically had and today still have a big impact in our society in many ways, social, economically, politically, etc etc.
The original painting represents the people raising against the political power, with Liberty guiding the people to the victory. Something like this in Guatemala, this is just a dream, the actual situation of the country makes everyone to riot, but people does have too much fear to make this happen and this is just an ideal that won’t happen.

I live in Guatemala and this image depicts what is actually going on with our country, a boat where everyone is dying, only the people with power might survive no matter what cost.

New Births is a series about the “ideal concept of beauty”, this concept has been changing thorough the history of human kind, it is always evolving, every day an “ideal” of beauty is being proposed to us thorough media and advertising, it’s been always like that. Nowadays this concept is more open than ever, with this images I want to talk about the births of new patterns of beauty, that are step by step more open and visible to the world, we should understand this and be open and tolerant about it. Beauty is what everyone feels like, not what should be imposed, is about love yourself no matter what.
