Jeong Hur is an artist who was born in Seoul, South Korea and works photography in New York. He majored in BFA graphic design at Kookmin University in Korea, and in MFA photography at SVA in New York. He started his art career with graphic design and media art, but they made him to become skeptical about the fictional character of digital media. This begins to take him to work with hand-crafty works, such as analog photography. Film photography is a physical medium that can make him satisfying which digital media cannot do. Jeong has influenced by artists such as Helmar Levski, Sigma Polke, and Akram Zaatari about the usage of the photographic film itself as the physical media. By starting with a solo exhibition in Korea in 2015, he is currently continuing his career with group exhibitions in Brooklyn, Chelsea, and Soho in New York.
