Noah's Utopia 2020

This project came about while I was thinking and questioning our existence during the quarantine days and comparing the moment with the stories I heard in the past and occasionally trying to update these stories with empathy. This statue, which I imagined to be 4 meters high, will be sculpted with clay and molded and then bronze casting will be carried out. After this stage, it will take its final form by being painted in a colorful way as in iconographic works. In shape, this bronze statue imagened for 4 meters high and it's represents a gigantic portrait of Noah's water emerging from a wooden log, and the spirit of Noah covering this pond, and his utopia 'ship / ark', which is manifested in Noah's heart and thoughts and placed above his head. Noah's depiction with water flow from the body with enormous energy also represents patience and willpower. At the same time, the colorful nature of the statue also refers to the iconographic public space sculptures.
