Using traditional Korean pottery techniques, a jar measuring about 1m in height and width was made. In addition, white slip was applied to the surface of the vessel and decorated using the inlay technique, and then colored slip was sprinkled on again to create a pattern.

Lines of various colors were expressed dynamically.
Colored slip was also applied to the hand and stamped on the surface of the vessel.

I tried to express humanity, life, and joy.

Shapes and Colors 2021

Various shapes and colors come together to create rhythm.
A few simple, small pillar-like shapes change as if they are moving quietly.
Simple colors meet white and flow down the object.
Similar yet different shapes
Simple yet diverse colors meet to create a quiet rhythm.

I was born into an ordinary family in 1964 in Gwangju, South Korea.
I went to university and majored in the pottery.
While attending school, the importance of pottery skills was emphasized.

After graduating from college, I became interested in traditional Korean ceramics.
I learned various Onggi weaving techniques from four Onggi masters. I honed his pottery-making skills over 30 years.

what is a human ?
what is life What is Substance?

I was curious about these things.
What can I make as a potter living in this era through this kind of exploration? I always worry about it, and that concern appears in my pottery work.
