searching for the structure 2010

A diploma project in which I tried to show an unique character of rusted steel sheets, this work proved to me that there is a connection in nature of things that makes two different materials like steel and tree's bark resemble each other. Work is made of hammered and welded steel and is consisted of 9 element 90x90x80cm each,

The entrance to an old mine was an inspiration for this work. The archetypal motive of entering into earth as a direct connection with nature. Hammered steel and flowers.

Born in 1980 in Włoszczowa, Poland. In the period 2005-2010 he studied at the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. In 2010 he defended his thesis titled Search for structure, for which he received a distinction. Painting and sculpture are his basic means of artistic expression. Since the completion of his studies in 2010, he has created a number of works as part of original artistic projects: eleven individual exhibitions and a dozen or so group exhibitions. In his strictly figurative works the artist uses simple forms, symbols, archetypes and motifs related to culture, finding for them new appropriate contexts.
