My name is Esmeraldo Abalde. I'm a self-taught artist who was born in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. My love for art started when I was a child watching my mother draw on a little piece of paper. I was attached to my mother and was very much stunned by her drawings so I started imitating her trying in attempt to draw like she did. This fascination became my enjoyable hobby and a source of income to support myself at the same time. In my younger days, I worked with some artists at a public school where I was studying and I learned the art of holding a brush and the basic colors. ​ After years of college as a Business major, I decided to follow my dreams and take it seriously. Today, I strive to continue learning and exploring the different ways I can improve as an artist. However, I love creating a variety of subjects from representational to abstract to express with my deeper appreciation of the beauty around me.
