You are a letter, written not with ink, but with the Spirit 2019
Film, 4m
Michelle, a trans woman who started transitioning later in her life, finds in faith the strength to welcome her true self.

Perpetual Explosion 2020
Perpetual Explosion observes the actions involved with closing a shift at working in a petrol station and offers a new and final act that threatens the understanding of the event — the act leads us to reflect on economies of value.
What would happen if the chain is broken? Is the small act of rupturing everyday ritual(s) of consumption/production in itself an act of exorcism, insurgence?

I create work which reflects on three main subjects: Vision, Religion, Sexuality.
I am a 2021 Fine Art graduate, having previously studied cinema in Lisbon. I presented my film You are a letter…, 2019, at the Queer Film Festival (PT). I have participated in exhibitions such as Crypt o’Night (2017) at S. Giles Church, or Wonky Donkey (2018) at CCW-UAL. For two consecutive years, I showed work within TATE Exchange at TATE Modern. I recently participated in an online exhibition developed with The National Gallery’s Learning & National Programmes.
My work was selected for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2021 and I was awarded as one of the “Artists in early career stage” by CenterStage, an LGBTQIA+ initiative based in Moscow, where I will have my first solo exhibition later this year and in NY (2022). My work was published in Electra Magazine and I was shortlisted for Metro Imaging Mentorship.
