The series as you can see on my website is extensive. This cyanotype was created in my daylight studio. and is a recnt addition. As you can also see at the website there are also clothed gentleman sadly the market place has dictated more nude iamges than attired hence the imbalance.

Modest model 2021

This images references some of the images made of female"prostitutes" in the 19th century who often donned masks to hide their identity. The preponderance of nude images in both 19th and 20th centuries have been female. Nude male photographic images were until late in 20th century, rarely exhibited.

I have had an editorial career in photography working for many magazines. and publishing a number of garden books In addition I taught at New York's School of Visual Arts for over 30 years. I have in the last years embraced my fine art work both past and present. I am an artist represented by CLAMP in NYC. This work is about the male figure and while contemporary I put the images in historic context of the Queer image making of19th Century. It is this work that would be the focus in a residency.
