“I was a fish. I swam freely from the moment I was born into this world. I had to hide it, and never show I was a fish.
I am still pretending to be human, and I'll keep pretending until I pass away.”
I've always felt a deep, special connection to the sea. When I immerse myself in its waters, I sense a homecoming, though I often struggle against the urge to venture further into the deep sea.
As the war erupted, anxiety weighed heavily on me. Seeking refuge in the sea became essential to maintaining my sanity, as its presence always soothes me, transcending any era in history. To preserve these feelings and find peace, I felt compelled to capture them through my art.
