The work I am presenting here is a first part of a long-term project on the places crossed by the Via Appia Antica, which, as is well known, connected Rome to Brindisi. In this photos, the attention is focused on a little part of the Via Appia Antica that passes through Basilicata, entering it in Melfi and continuing into Puglia beyond Genzano di Lucania.

I live in Potenza, where I work as an engineer, with an innate passion for photography.
The main focus of my personal photographic research is on the man-altered landscape, where I’m always looking for traces of human activity. Even places can tell us something about people living there, beyond their appearances.
My work has been exhibited in Cracow (Poland), Essex Junction (USA), Milano, Lodi, Trieste, Florence, Potenza and other places in Italy.
I won several international awards, as the Silver prize at the Budapest International Foto Awards 2019, Portfolio category, the Bronze prize at the Moscow International Foto Awards 2019, Portfolio category, the third place for “Photo Essay” category in the International Photography Awards 2017, a shortlisted project at Siena International Photo Award 2020, Belfast Photo Festival 2019 and Urban Photo Awards 2018, and various honorable mentions in international awards from 2015 to 2019.
