Artist own technique using paper porcelain to create sculptural forms and bigger installations based on molecules – the smallest unit of a compound that can exist by itself

Seeds, which are only a few millimeters in size, are magnified a thousand times and in this way open up to us a mysterious world that cannot be seen with the naked eye. These artworks inspired me with their colorful sculptural forms – rich in fantasy and invisible to the human eye.

Annika Teder graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 1972 as ceramic artist. Since 1986 she is a member of the Estonian Artists Union and since 1992 the International Academy of Ceramics (Geneva). Annika has been a freelance artist since 1985 and a long-serving lecturer at the Ceramic Department of the Estonian Academy of Arts. She has performed at several solo and group exhibitions since 1980 both in Estonia and abroad, from Finland to Japan, from Taiwan to USA. Her works can be found in several private collections and museums in many European countries, as well as in the USA, Canada, Japan (Takeo, Seto), Korea (Incheon), China (Fuping) and Taiwan.
