Barrani.La doppia assenza 2024
Una presenza fuori luogo, a-topos, «sempre nel posto sbagliato», citando Edward Said, che non trova una vera appartenenza né nel punto di partenza, né in quello di arrivo. Questa condizione di sentirsi a-topos, secondo Abdelmalek Sayad, è una delle caratteristiche ricorrenti dell'esperienza migratoria, che produce una percezione di sé segnata da una "doppia assenza" tra il luogo di origine e quello di arrivo: un sentimento di sradicamento, un'assenza dal paese d'origine, il bled, accompagnata, dall'altra parte del Mediterraneo, dalla sensazione che, arrivando in Europa, non ci si senta mai completamente interi. Né qui, né là.
In tunisino, *Barrani* significa "lo straniero", letteralmente "colui che viene da fuori (el barra)", colui che ha intrapreso il viaggio verso l'Europa.
Grazie a un sistema di produzione sonora basato su riverberi ed echi, *Barrani* è una performance-concerto in cui danza e poesia permettono una nuova auto-narrazione.

Corps Citoyen الجسد المواطن is a collective platform, where shared and multidisciplinary projects are produced, but also individual works by the artists of the group in collaboration with other artists and professionals. The collective was founded in 2013 in Tunis, where it operates until 2018 between performance and research projects and participatory projects in complex territories. Since 2018, the collective has been based in Milan, where the team has expanded with the technical direction of Manuel D'Onofrio and the production care of Vittoria Lombardi. the urgency to begin a decolonial performative research. Since 2022 the collective has been associated with Base Milano for the three-year period 2022-2024. Since 2023 it has also been an associated artist to the European platform IN SITU. Parallel to artistic production, since 2020 Corps Citoyen has set up the curatorial project Milano Mediterranea.
