PERCEPTION 2024

Perception is a visual meditation on the female body in nature, an intimate, sensory ritual of return. Created through analog photography, the work reflects my experience as a highly sensitive person seeking reconnection with physicality, softness, and inner presence in a world that often demands distance and disembodiment.
At its core, the piece explores cleansing rituals performed in natural environments, as a form of healing, grounding, and silent resistance.
In Perception, I reflect on womanhood as a space of transformation: quiet yet powerful, deeply embodied yet porous to the world. The series invites slowness, sensitivity, and presence – qualities often overlooked, yet profoundly human.

I am a Slovak visual artist and photographer. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2020 and Master’s degree in 2022, specializing in Photography and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. My artistic practice centers on analog photography, exploring perception, memory, and subtle relationships between body, nature, and space. I work with natural light, texture, and composition to create quiet, observational images reflecting physical presence and environments we inhabit. My themes include everyday life, ritual, the present moment, ambivalence between noise and silence. Through a female gaze, I explore intimacy, care, and vulnerability. The female body appears not as an object, but as a sensing presence intertwined with landscape, domestic space, or elemental forces. I’m interested in how women carry memory, how presence is fragile yet grounded, and how silence speaks of resilience.I have exhibited in several group exhibitions, including international ones.
