Arctic Art / Composition of the Moment (1). 2017
Digital photo / Hahnemühle on AluDibond
80×120 cm
Description
I found the most impressing icebergs in Ilulissat Icefjord, Greenland.. These unique artworks of nature are in a process of permanent change,
because of the climate warming. Taking pictures of them means to create Compositions of the Moment, which can never be repeated.

RUHR ART II / Transformation (1). 2017
Digital photo / Hahnemühle on AluDibond
80×120 cm
Description
Powder snow covers the coal slag, the amphitheatre and the wooden installation „Totems“ of A. Ibarrola on top of a pithead stock in the Ruhr Area of Germany. The white creates strong contrasts but also new common structures, which seem to connect the apparent opposites of culture, nature and industrial space.

Looking for the Beauty of Age (1) / Niki. 2012
Digital photo
80×1120 cm
Description
From 2011 until 2014 I took pictures of old people in the Mani, Greece. Their faces looking like maps of life, impressed me deeply. Although the traces and wrinkles testified to hard life and work , deprivation and strokes of fate, their eyes reflected love, acceptance of life and over all dignity.
