Entangled 2024
“Entangled” reflects on the human condition as a knot of opposing forces—historical, political, social, and psychological—that shape and distort identity. The series examines interdependence and conflict, suggesting that the self never exists in isolation but is always traversed, formed, and sometimes constrained by these tensions.
It prompts a reflection on power and vulnerability, on will and coercion. The individual is enmeshed in dynamics larger than themselves, in a network of relationships that can function as both support and confinement. In this way, Entangled moves between the personal and the collective, between the body as a site of expression and the body as a battleground for invisible forces.
The series asks the viewer: to what extent do we shape our identity, and to what extent are we shaped by the contexts that envelop, bind, and transform us?
Wholeness 2024
he series encourages reflection on the new configurations of posthuman reality: bodies blended in a union where identities blur and emerge renewed, hybridized. The once static nature of subjects now reveals a fluid world: generative mixtures that simultaneously question the boundaries of subjectivity and demonstrate its extension into the realm of objects and body parts. The series aims to show how these evolutions are both generative and regenerative for our understanding of the relationship between human beings and their bodies. This project, tackles the theme of the hybridization of human experience and the modern impossibility of perceiving and experiencing the world solely within the limits imposed by the notion of subjectivity as an exclusionary zone. This new human condition has inspired reflections in my project on the current definition of human identity and the social implications that this new understanding of the subject and its relationship with the world produces.

I am a contemporary Italian artist of Russian origin, born in Moscow in 1992. After graduating from the Moscow Academic Art College, I furthered my studies at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, followed by the Rome Academy of Fine Arts. Today, I reside and work in Rome.
My artistic expression is rooted in traditional figurative painting but engages with contemporary visual languages. A key feature of my work is the physicality of the objects and figures I depict. The forms are modeled in details, sometimes bordering on hyperrealism, yet removed from their usual contexts. I place them in illusory spaces, where they are distorted, reassembled, and suspended in compositions that feel both dynamic and frozen.
I explore the tension between life and stillness. The living forms – often anthropomorphic or organic – appear frozen, like bodies turned to statues. This sense of suspension creates a feeling of time being paused, as if the moment is held in a fragile balance. The figures might seem familiar, but their stillness disconnects them from life, heightening the contrast between their material presence and their lifelessness.
My work explores the shifting boundaries of identity, the body, and the environment in a world of constant transformation. Through painting, I examine how these elements merge and reshape one another, reflecting the fluid and hybrid nature of contemporary life.
The body is central to my practice—both as a physical form and a metaphor for change. I deconstruct and reconstruct it, blending it with abstract shapes, objects, or technological elements to challenge fixed notions of identity. These transformations suggest a state of flux, where boundaries dissolve, and the self becomes interconnected with the world around it.
My process mirrors these themes of transformation. Each piece engages with the tension between fragility and strength, loss and renewal, unsettling and generative moments. The hybrid forms in my work aim to question traditional ideas of what it means to be human, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own experiences of change in an evolving world.
Through these explorations, I aim to create a dialogue about identity, transformation, and our relationship to a reality where the lines between self, body, and environment are constantly shifting.
